Good Pet Tenant: A Workshop

Join The Anti-Cruelty Society for our Good Pet Tenant workshop, and learn how to navigate Chicago's competitive pet-friendly housing market. This workshop is an additional learning opportunity under our Open Door Housing campaign, a pet-friendly initiative to make Chicago a more welcoming community for people and pets.

Join us for a one-of-a-kind Holiday Pet Photo Event! Dogs, Cats, bunnies, etc. are all welcome to get their photo taken with Santa! Want to include the whole family? No problem! Kinds and adults are welcome in the photos as well!

Shelter Service Day

If you’re a teen looking for a one-day, on-site volunteer opportunity with The Anti-Cruelty Society, register for Shelter Service Day! The Anti-Cruelty Society welcomes teens to our Shelter Service Day! This unique volunteer opportunity occurs one Thursday per month from 4:30-6:00 p.m. Use your crafting skills to create toys and beds for the animals at The Anti-Cruelty Society so that they can stay cozy and happy while they are in our care.

Pet Loss Support Group

The loss of a pet is a difficult time for all. To help you cope with this loss, The Anti-Cruelty Society offers a free group program called “Pet Loss Support Group.” This group is led by a professional grief counselor. The open drop-in group meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at The Anti-Cruelty Society.

Kids Who Care

Are you looking for a way for your family to get involved in our community of caring? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! The Anti-Cruelty Society’s Kids Who Care program offers families an opportunity to engage in our work while providing valuable education to kids and adults alike!

Deck the Howls

Come join us to Deck the Howls with the animals of The Anti-Cruelty Society during this holiday themed Kids Who Care program! On December 7, 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m., children ages 2 to 10 years will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of entertaining, holiday-themed activities that will teach them the joy of being kind to animals. Cats 'n Mats

What could be better than doing yoga on a Sunday morning? Doing yoga with cats at The Anti-Cruelty Society! Join us for Cats n' Mats! We will be hosting one hour yoga sessions with the company of some adoptable kitties, they make the purrfect yoga partners!
