Dog Wellness Fair 14th District Police Station

The Anti-Cruelty Society’s Dog Wellness Fairs help provide free canine veterinary services to those who cannot afford private vet care. The first 100 dogs will receive vaccinations, microchips, nail trims, harness fittings, and free pet care supplies. No pre-registration required. All dogs must be leashed. No retractable leashes or leashes over 6 feet, or dogs in heat. Owners with dogs who require a muzzle are asked to bring their own. No cat…

What could be better than doing yoga on a Sunday morning? Doing yoga with cats at The Anti-Cruelty Society! Join us for Cats n' Mats! We will be hosting one hour yoga sessions with the company of some adoptable kitties, they make the purrfect yoga partners!

Pet Loss Support Group

The loss of a pet is a difficult time for all. To help you cope with this loss, The Anti-Cruelty Society offers a free group program called “Pet Loss Support Group.” This group is led by a professional grief counselor. The open drop-in group meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at The Anti-Cruelty Society.

Busy FIngers Sewing Club

Busy Fingers sewing club meets in The Anti-Cruelty Society’s 169 W. Grand Ave. Auditorium, the second Monday of each month from 4:30pm to 7:00pm. During this time, members craft animal enrichment items for the Society. Sewing machines and materials are provided to members, but guests are always welcome to bring their own project materials. If you’re a teen looking for a one-day, on-site volunteer opportunity with The Anti-Cruelty Society, register for Shelter Service Day! The Anti-Cruelty Society welcomes teens to our Shelter Service Day! This unique volunteer opportunity occurs one Thursday per month from 4:30-6:00 p.m. Use your crafting skills to create toys and beds for the animals at The Anti-Cruelty Society so that they can stay cozy and happy while they are in our care.
