Any available adult dog who is over 40 pounds and has been on the adoption floor for over a week can also go to foster. Just double-check they're located at our River North Location.  Please reach out to the foster team for more information.

Teddy has stage 2 renal disease. The foster will need to watch their weight and appetite. Very distracted by people and other dogs and unable to maintain focus for long. Appears housebroken. He is friendly with strangers he has met. Very Energetic so will need physical exercise. Jumpy and not interested in toys. Resource guards. He should be the only pet in the home. Vocal when home alone and prefers to be free room vs crate. When you're sitting he comes and rests his head on your legs.

Josie would like a quiet home/area - Josie is very sweet but under socialized to new environments, and quick to become scared and stressed. She will need a patient foster able to administer behavior medications every day. Unknown if she is housebroken or has any training. Highly rec having a crate set up as her safe space. Appears social with other dogs - a more confident resident dog may help.

Some notes of reactivity in kennel and in courtyard towards dogs and possibly people? (Seeking more details)
Becoming increasingly stressed when other dogs walk past his kennel and when seeing staff approach with a leash. 

May not be the best for a high rise but can likely do okay in an area where he sees dogs as long as the foster can easily remove him from close contact (turn around, cross the street, etc). 

No hx due to intake from CACC.

High arousal in shelter. Jumps up on handlers with paws. Due to jumping up the way he does, he has gotten tangled in his leash a few times, use treats to direct his paws back to the floor, keep leash under control and behind his head to prevent tangling. 

Needs boundaries, once given boundaries during dog class/training sessions he does better. Eager to learn.

Recent notes state :"ears completely back, hissing, tense face, intensely furrowed brow. Listed as not eating past 4 days but most of dry food is gone this afternoon"
