About The Event
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is a federal holiday and National Day of Service which celebrates the life, legacy, and impact of this influential civil rights leader. Anti-Cruelty is once again taking part in the MLK Day of Service by engaging the community to give back through a variety of service activities to help the pets and people we serve.
WHAT: Spend a few minutes, or the whole session, making toys and beds for shelter pets while learning more about Anti-Cruelty and reflecting on the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. All ages are welcome.
Join us inside our River North location for:
- Guided crafting to make toys and beds for shelter pets
- Meet and greets with shelter pets
WHEN: Monday, January 20, 2025
- Session 1 for Individuals and Families: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (adult guardians required for minors)
- Session 2 for Classrooms and Youth Groups 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
