Brrr! Sure is cold out there! Make sure to keep yourself and you foster dog warm during this snowy period. To learn more ways to keep your foster dog warm on their walks click here.

Speaking of the chilly weather, don't pass up the opportunity to snuggle up with your foster pet to keep warm. Be sure to take pictures and post them on the foster Facebook page in order to share the love.

Howdy fosters!

We're looking to restock on some of our dog crates as we've run out in the building. If you are not currently fostering a dog, or if your foster dog has grown our of their crate, please schedule a time to return the crate so it can be handed out to a new foster family. Crates are a great housebreaking tool for foster dogs and make the foster stay that much easier on both parties. To schedule a crate return please call 312-645-8220 and customer service will help coordinate a drop off time.

Fosters can change the world!

Let's give a warm welcome to the newest member of the Foster Team Elizabeth Lopez! Elizabeth will take on the Foster Manager mantle and will work closely with Clare to help with our ever growing family. Feel free to send her a welcome email at elopez@anticruelty.org!

Waiting for a foster puppy? We tend to receive puppies in waves so if you're hoping to take one home please email chamilton@anticruelty.org to join the puppy waitlist.

Kitten season is right around the corner. We're anticipating a baby boom this year due to the mild winter and earlier shut downs of spay/neuter clinics. Some of these kittens will be orphaned and will need 24 hour care from foster parents. If you'd like to train to become a neonatal foster parent, or would like to learn more about the program, please email chamilton@anticruelty.org.

Surprise! All our foster pets have found foster homes! Once more animals become available for foster care they'll be placed on this webpage. Please keep checking back for updates and if you have any questions or concerns please reach out to the foster team at foster@anticruelty.org. Thank you!

Starting March 1st you can schedule an appointment with our Intake department to vaccinate your foster pet. If you downloaded the Maddie's Pet Assistant App then you will receive an email informing you of when a vaccination is due. To schedule an appointment please click here.

Due to the coronavirus, our public donations have decreased the past year and we do not have many hard or soft cat carriers left to give away. If you are interested in fostering a cat and have your own cat carrier, please bring it with you during your foster pickup time. Our customer service staff will be able to use it for your foster pet. This will be very helpful to both on site staff and our resources as our donation bin recovers from the pandemic.

If you feel your foster pet is ready for spay/neuter surgery, please email snclinic@anticruelty.org with your name, the animal's name and ID number (if you have it), and state that your foster is ready for surgery. A member of the clinic team will reach out shortly with available dates.
