The Anti-Cruelty Society’s main adoption center is located in the River North neighborhood of Chicago at the corner of Grand Avenue and LaSalle Street.
The Adoption Center is open from noon to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday and from noon to 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. You are welcome to visit with dogs, cats and small animals available for adoption. The website provides live updates for all animals available for adoption.
The Adoption Center offers a courtyard for you to get to know our available dogs and two free roaming cat rooms for you to interact with the cats. Our expert staff and volunteers will be happy to help you learn more about our animals and help you find your new best friend.
Everyone is welcome to visit the Adoption Center to meet our animals. Just sign in at the front desk and meet our animals. If you would like to walk a dog, play with a cat, or even read to our animals, please ask our staff and volunteers to assist you. We also have animals available at other locations across the city. Our Adoption Center is located at the corner of LaSalle Avenue and Grand Avenue. We offer free parking in the Society’s parking lot which is located on Wells Street, a half a block west of Grand Avenue.
