Perfect Way for Teens to Give Back
Do you want to be part of an organization that has been committed to caring for and protecting animals since 1899? The Teens Who Care program may be the perfect way for you to give back!
The Teens Who Care volunteer program gives teens ages 13–17 an opportunity to volunteer throughout different departments at The Anti-Cruelty Society. Youth can earn service hours, hone job skills, learn about animal behavior, and more in this exciting hands-on volunteer program.

Program Requirements
- Must attend at least 3 Shelter Service Day meetings within the same year of the Teens Who Care session for which you are applying
- Able to commit to program attendance requirements
- Able to work independently or on a team
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Positive attitude
- Eagerness to learn
- Professional demeanor
- Commitment to The Anti-Cruelty Society mission and philosophies
- Must submit an application
Program Responsibilities
Teens Who Care volunteers will provide support by helping with:
- Cleaning Assistance
- Enrichment Construction
- Office Assistance
- Special Event Assistance
- Plant Care
- Animal Socialization
