Open House Chicago
About The Event
Anti-Cruelty is excited to announce our participation in the Chicago Architecture Center’s Open House Chicago! This free Chicago architecture festival gives attendees a behind-the-scenes look at more than 350 of the city’s great spaces, which includes Anti-Cruelty.
In 1936, notable architect Leon Stanhope designed our Marion and Horace E. McConnell Memorial Building in Art Deco style, visible on W. Grand Ave. In 1979, renowned architect Stanley Tigerman designed our 510 N. LaSalle St. Adoption Center in Art Moderne style.
Join Anti-Cruelty and the Chicago Architecture Center as we welcome Open House Chicago guests on Saturday - Sunday, October 18-19, from 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. The lobby and adoption floors are open for visitors to enjoy a self-guided tour. Visitors are welcome to spend time with the animals while onsite, or participate in the Reading Buddies program, where guests help pets relax by reading a provided book to them. Adoptions are also available!
