Meet the Host: Darlene Duggan 

Darlene is a Biostatistician and Epidemiologist by training that brings her appreciation for science to the animal welfare field. Darlene Duggan has over 20 years of experience in animal welfare, currently serving as President of Anti-Cruelty, and has also held roles in municipal and limited admission facilities. Holding a master’s in public health from the University of Chicago, she is passionate about the art of sheltering, population management, and public health and how they intersect. Darlene is dedicated to fostering innovation and adaptive thinking, ensuring organizations excel in traditional sheltering operations and services but also explore new and creative ways to improve animal welfare. In her free time, Darlene enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family that includes the world’s coolest dog Rocky and cat April.
