A Message Regarding Leadership at Anti-Cruelty

After five years of organizational growth and a successful celebration of our 125th anniversary, Tracy Elliott has resigned from Anti-Cruelty to establish a consulting firm. We appreciate Tracy’s contributions during his time as President and CEO and wish him all the best. Darlene Duggan, Vice President of Quality and Best Care and Chief Operating Officer is the Interim President while the Board of Directors performs a search for Tracy’s successor. Anti-Cruelty is committed to BEST Care for animals, people, and communities. Over the past year under Tracy's leadership, we have renovated animal spaces in the River North Adoption Center and clinic areas and expanded resources through our community programs to keep families together. As with many shelters across the country, we are challenged by the overwhelming intake of animals and animal population management, and our commitment to BEST Care continues to help us move forward. As always we are grateful for the dedication of our partners, donors, volunteers and staff.
