8 Ball and his new family at their adoption on Clear the Shelters

In partnership with NBC 5 Chicago and Telemundo Chicago, The Anti-Cruelty Society participated in another successful Clear the Shelters event on Saturday, August 17. 106 animals from the Society’s 510 N. LaSalle Dr. Adoption Center, Everyday Adoption Center, and PetSmart stores across the city found their forever homes that day.

While this was one of our most successful Clear the Shelters event ever, it was even better because one of our long-term dogs, 8 Ball, went home with his new family (pictured above). 8 Ball had been at the shelter since April but it was a great moment when his new family saw him and fell in love.  Since being adopted, 8 Ball is doing wonderfully in his new home and is settling in just great!

Check out the photos from Clear the Shelters to see all the happy families.
