About The Event  

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is a federal holiday and National Day of Service which celebrates the life, legacy, and impact of this influential civil rights leader. Anti-Cruelty is once again taking part in the MLK Day of Service by engaging the community to give back through a variety of service activities to help the pets and people we serve. 

 

What:

Spend a few minutes, or the whole session, crafting toys for shelter pets while learning more about Anti-Cruelty. All ages are welcome.

Join us inside our River North location for:

  • Guided crafting to make toys and beds for shelter pets  
  • Meet and greets with shelter pets  
  • Q&A with shelter staff  

 

When:
Monday, January 15, 2024  

  • Session 1 for Individuals and Families: 10 a.m.–12 p.m. (adult guardians required for minors) 
  • Session 2 for Classrooms and Youth Groups 1 p.m.–3 p.m.

 

Where:
Anti-Cruelty Education and Training Center, 169 W Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60654

 

How:

  • Individual and Family sign-up for Session 1: Register here (Adult guardians required for minors)
