Mandatory tattooing with spay/neuter surgeries:
To comply with the standards of The Association of Shelter Veterinarians, a small green tattoo will be applied to all dogs and cats that have a spay or neuter procedure. The tattoo will be applied to the abdomen of male and female cats and female dogs. For male dogs, the tattoo will be applied near the prepuce. This is meant as an indicator that the animal has been altered (spayed/neutered).
