Pop-up Pet Food Pantries

Anti-Cruelty distributes pet food to Chicago’s Greater Roseland neighborhood through this innovative program that goes to the heart of the community to help keep pets and people together.

When the pandemic started causing financial challenges for already historically disinvested Chicago neighborhoods, Anti-Cruelty launched its Pop-up Pet Food Pantries.

We now collaborate monthly with social service agencies including Metropolitan Family Services, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and the City of Chicago to provide pet food at a drive-up community food event in Greater Roseland.
Each month, Anti-Cruelty staff and volunteers distribute hundreds of bags of dry cat and dog food to pet owners.
