Pewewwwwwww: Skunks Smell

Your pet getting skunked doesn’t have to stink! JoDee Lee, our clinic manager, has a special remedy in case you pet gets tangled with a skunk. Here’s how to prepare yourself and your family for if this happens to you:
¼ cup baking soda
2 tablespoons of dish soap
1 quart of peroxide.
When it’s first mixed, it’ll bubble up. The bubbles will settle by the time you are ready to put your pet in the tub and get their coat wet. After they are nice and wet with water, put the mixture on your pet and rub it in, being careful not to get any in their eyes. Wear gloves so you don’t get the skunk smell on your hands. After rinsing your pet well, use a nice smelling pet-friendly conditioner. The smell won’t be 100% gone with the first bath, but it’ll definitely improve!
