In 2019 The Anti-Cruelty Society adopted out over 5,700 animals and spayed or neutered nearly 10,000 cats, dogs, and rabbits, many belonging to members of the community, emphasizing the important message of spaying and neutering pets. We helped 1,770 animals through our field service outreach to abused and neglected animals. We reached more than 21,000 people through community-based programs and responded to nearly 800 behavior questions through our free Helpline, helping to keep pets in forever homes rather than enter the shelter. We took in 254 animals from Hurricane Dorian and the Oklahoma floods, and helped 59 dogs through our emergency care SAFE program.

The community gave back to pets in need in 2019! Volunteers donated over 53,000 service hours and 486 active foster homes served 1,002 foster animals throughout the year. The Anti-Cruelty Society could not do our important saving work without the support of the community, thank you! We look forward to a happy and wonderful 2020!
