Clear the Shelters Helps Find Forever Homes
SPECIAL ADOPTION EVENT AT ANTI-CRUELTY SOCIETY ON AUGUST 28-29
The Anti-Cruelty Society will find homes for animals by participating in NBCUniversal’s Clear the Shelters™ 2021 pet adoption event on Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August 29 at its River North Adoption Center in Chicago. Adopters may “pick a price” they would like to donate instead of the usual adoption fees for animals 5 months and up. Appointments are required and can be booked at anticruelty.org.
Traditionally summer brings a surge in animals surrendered to the Society and this year is no exception. More than 200 animals are currently available for adoption, while 300 additional pets are being cared for behind the scenes for medical and other special needs.
Potential adopters are asked to view available animals online at anticruelty.org/adopt and then make an appointment for August 28 or 29 to visit the Society’s River North Adoption Center, 510 N. LaSalle.
