Class is in Session for the Pups

So you have a new puppy. Totally adorable, right? But it’s now your job to make sure your puppy gets the training they need to be the best they can be. The Anti-Cruelty Society is offering two new classes for puppies: Socialization and Puppy Trainer Primer. These 45 minute classes provide an introduction and start you off on the right road to great puppy behavior! These are free classes but registration is required!

Romp Room: Puppy Socialization
Socialization is vital to raising a pup into a confident, friendly, easy-going dog. The Puppy Socialization class introduces pups to new people, dogs, sights, sounds, and experiences in a fun and safe environment. Stations will introduce novel items and encourage problem solving, and wrap up with puppy play time.

Puppy Socialization is open to puppies eight to 16 weeks of age and free of charge. Proof of age-appropriate vaccination is required.

Puppy Trainer Primer
This one-session class will introduce you and your puppy to the nuts-and-bolts of training. We will discuss how to get the behaviors you want from your dog and then put that knowledge to use teaching a few basic skills using scientifically-proven methods of utilizing positive reinforcement. This is a perfect class for someone who wants to get the ball rolling before beginning a full training course.

This class is open to puppies eight to 24 weeks of age and free of charge. Proof of current age-appropriate vaccinations is required.
