Art from the Heart

Students from grades K-12 are invited to take part in this juried competition which showcases the talent of Chicagoland youth. The theme is Compassion in Action so pieces where kindness is being promoted to both pets and people in your artwork is encouraged! 

All  contest participants will receive an official Art from the Heart participation certificate and first place winners in each grade category will receive a cash prize. Contest prizes are as follows: $500 high school; $250 middle school; $100 elementary school. A very special thanks to Dresner Design and the River North Design District for sponsoring this year’s Art from the Heart prizes. 

Art from the Heart entries will be on display at The Anti-Cruelty Society’s education center from Friday, September 6 through Friday, October 4, 2019 as part of the 5th Annual River North Design District Gallery Walk. Public viewings will take place on Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7. Winners of the contest will be announced on Saturday, September 7 at noon during our Art from the Heart Awards Ceremony.
