Hurricane Relief Efforts
The Anti-Cruelty Society is part of a national emergency response network. Through partnerships with national organizations with boots on the ground, the Society is often called upon to take in animals impacted by storms and other disasters. These national organizations have designated disaster relief teams trained and approved for such important rescue work and The Anti-Cruelty Society plays a crucial role by offering these animals care, shelter, and a second chance at a forever home.
This fall, The Anti-Cruelty Society took in over 40 pets that had been living in shelters in North and South Carolina prior to the arrival of Hurricane Florence. In 2017, the Society took in over 100 animals impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The Society will continue to offer an open door to animals in need locally and around the country. Thank you for your continued support of all the work we do.
