Join us at Chicago’s premier animal shelter, The Anti-Cruelty Society, and put your compassion to action. Engage in our community of caring by dropping in to provide volunteer support on this national day of service and help us positively impact the lives of homeless pets. Participants will have the chance to prep supplies for animals while also meeting some of the dogs and cats in our care. Behind-the-scenes tours will also be available.

Volunteer Activities Include:

  • Reading to adoptable cats
  • Socializing adoptable dogs
  • Crafting toys for shelter pets
  • Creating adoption packets and posters

Project supplies are available for a $5 donation or 2 yards of fleece.

Come in for a few minutes or spend the whole day with us. All ages are welcome with parent/guardian supervision.
