Jennifer GoodSmith is the Vice President of Mission Advancement at The Anti-Cruelty Society where she is responsible for development and marketing efforts. As Chief Advancement Officer she is building a culture of philanthropy through resource development, fundraising, donor relations, and special events. She also serves as Chief Marketing Officer responsible for marketing and communications strategy, brand management, creative services, and media relations with an emphasis on sharing the stories that engage people to become part of the Society's community of caring. 

Jennifer has more than 30 years of marketing and communications experience with non-profits in health care, higher education and member organizations. Prior to joining The Anti-Cruelty Society, she was Vice President of Marketing and Communications for The Morton Arboretum, where she launched a successful new brand, while growing attendance by more than 35%. She was Vice President of Integrated Marketing at the American Medical Association where she was responsible for marketing strategy and integrated physician communications.  Jennifer also worked in higher education, where she built marketing programs designed to position universities to recognize and embrace what makes them distinctive while building brand recognition through traditional and social media channels. Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters in Planning from Loyola University Chicago.

Jennifer believes in the power of the right messages, at the right time, to the right audiences to help share the important work of the Society to care for and protect animals. By raising awareness and the profile of the Society, she focuses on how to best engage people to become champions for animals and advocates for The Anti-Cruelty Society.
