Pet Wellness Fair
On Saturday, May 6th, The Anti-Cruelty Society hosted our first-ever Pet Wellness Fair in East Garfield Park! Thanks to the support of our new community partner Breakthrough, and a generous grant from the Caerus Foundation, we were able to bring a variety of much-needed pet care services to this part of the city, and all free of charge. We helped over 100 families and provided services to 152 pets in a short 4 hour period. Out of those pets, 143 received much-needed vaccinations and microchips on the spot. In addition to clinic services, we also provided nail trims, swag bags filled with collars, leashes, treats, toys, blankets and other supplies, DIY dog and cat toy crafting stations, behavior tips, our Pet Care & Safety puppet show for kids, a traveling selfie booth, and more!
