National Volunteer Appreciation Week
In 2017, 632 volunteers provided over 50,000 hours of service. The impact these volunteers make on the lives and care of the animal’s every day help us find forever homes for these pets in need. There are many ways in which our volunteers get involved including assisting visitors in our adoption rooms, helping care for the animals before we open, and walking dogs.
But you don’t have to physically be at The Anti-Cruelty Society to contribute to our impact on the community. Volunteers are invited to help with special events, bring their Canine Good Citizen Certified dog off-site to visit with different groups, and make do-it-yourself donations. No matter how you get involved, know that you are making a difference to animals in need.
Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 15-21 and while we appreciate our volunteers every day, we look forward to a kick-off celebration with brunch, awards, games, video highlights, and more. Volunteers are in store for a special treat each day all week and extra love from the animals as well.
New volunteers join our team each month. To learn more about becoming a Society volunteer, visit https://anticruelty.org/ways-to-get-involved/volunteer/.
