JEDI: A story of care and compassion
Jedi entered the open doors of The Anti-Cruelty Society on December 10th after being found as a stray, living in an alleyway. He was friendly as could be, but extremely emaciated with multiple wounds and sores on his back and tail.
After being evaluated by out veterinarian team, he was put on a feeding schedule that would help him gain weight safely. He started living in an office area of the Society for close monitoring and spent time with our behavior staff so we could learn more about him. His sweet demeanor never wavered, even as he went through waves of energy—feeling better on some days than others.
A few days before the New Year, The Anti-Cruelty Society found a fantastic foster home that can take him in while he continues to heal, emotionally and physically. Jedi’s favorite activities in his foster home include snuggling up under blankets, working on his tricks, and trying out new sweaters.
We love and care for them like our own, and so do the wonderful foster volunteers who help us save hundreds of cats and dogs each year. We’re so grateful to Jedi’s foster family for giving their unconditional love and compassion to him and helping us save this sweet boy’s life.
