Best Team Player: Anne Vopat
It is sometimes hard to keep up with Anne. She is an amazingly active volunteer in dog adopts and cat care. She helps with physical exams and is a dedicated foster mom. She is also a great helper with the visits to NBC 5 Chicago for the weekly Clear the Shelters TV segments. She is always willing to help an animal and nothing phases Anne! She has a special loving way of interacting with each animal she encounters and she has a way with keeping an animal calm and comforted. She is always willing to lend a hand and, in fact, it is easy to see why she was awarded the Best Team Player Award because she is just that! Thanks, Anne, for your willingness to help out any time it is needed.
During National Volunteer Appreciation Week, The Anti-Cruelty Society recognizes all volunteers for their support, commitment and dedication to help us provide a better life for the animals that the animals in our care. With more than 500 volunteers who provide more than 50,000 hours each year, the Society’s volunteers give generously of their time to help the thousands of homeless, abused, and neglected animals in our care each year. Their dedication directly impacts the lives of each animal they come into contact with. We could not do this work without our volunteer support and especially from people like Anne.
Each year, we formally recognize our outstanding volunteers and extend our sincere thanks. Each day we are grateful for this support.
Congratulations, Anne, on your Best Team Player Award! An honor most appreciated and well deserved!!
