Bark (I mean meow?)
It is that time of year again…when everyone here at the Society starts talking about dog this, dog that, barking, walking, Bark in the Park, blah blah blah, YAWN! Gimme some CAT news, please!
Well, as our official ambassador, it is my duty to report to you the happenings of the Society so that you can attend, raise funds, and help my four-legged friends here at the shelter. So, here goes nothing:
We are excited for our 21st annual BARK IN THE PARK. This fun event takes place SUNDAY, May 3, 2015, at 9 a.m. at Montrose Harbor. More than 3,000 humans, with dogs in tow, will join us to kick off the spring season and celebrate the bond we have with our best friends. A 5K walk starts the morning followed by fun activities and snacks for both the humans and the dogs.
Guests will enjoy canine agility courses, demonstrations, exhibits, free product samples from small business sponsors, Animal Intuitive—plus free snacks, raffle, souvenir photos, 50/50 raffle and much more.
To register, please visit www.barkinthepark.org! Register sooner than later so you can set up your fundraising page and goals to raise much-needed funds for all of our programs and services here at the Society.
There, now you can’t say that the talking cat didn’t tell you about the dog-centric event.
